Artist Statement
As an Indian-origin, USA-based artist, I have spent nearly a decade honing my craft, focusing on the intricate fusion of architecture and fine art. My work draws heavily from the timeless beauty of Islamic architecture, particularly its symmetrical patterns, bold geometric shapes, and vivid color schemes, which are often reflected in my mandalas. I also find deep inspiration in the historical architecture of South Asia, whose rich heritage informs much of my architectural paintings. Each piece I create is a tribute to the art of detail, aiming to evoke a sense of wonder and reflection.
In an era where digital art is gaining momentum, I remain deeply connected to the handmade process, valuing the tactile engagement and personal connection it fosters with each piece. To me, handmade art is not just a method but a philosophy—one that emphasizes patience, intention, and authenticity in a fast-paced, digital world.
Balancing art and family life, I am also a mother of one. My creative journey is intertwined with the joys and challenges of motherhood, which fuels my artistic expression with new layers of emotion and meaning. Through my work, I strive to build a bridge between past and present, tradition and modernity, while staying true to the timeless art of hand-crafted creations.
